YMMV / Hungry Hearts Diner

  • Author's Saving Throw: After many complaints regarding the Fake Difficulty of the delivery mechanic in Neo (the food that the customer want can be quite cryptic without referring to the food descriptions and may even want to order things that you have yet to unlock), delivery orders in Memories are easier in that customers will always straight out tell you what they want. Although it should be noted that in both games, Grandma and Grandpa will tell you to skip the order if you can't solve it.
  • Funny Moments: Three words: fourth-wall-breaking monk. Mr. Jizo in general provides much of the game's hilarity. And that's just the beginning...
  • Sequel Difficulty Spike: Moonlit Memories is noticeably more challenging, namely by making you actually have to do the dishes. Neo at least has an assistant who helps with the dishes (and the dish rack no longer has a limit), but has you do deliveries to certain customers, where you have to select dishes based on their preferences, which may not always be obvious.
