- Germans Love David Hasselhoff: The series has a small following in France, which is helped by the fact it was edited by Gallimard (which also edited many other gamebook series), giving it some nostalgic cred. It even had a fan-written published third installment in this country.
- Sequelitis: Any reader can agree that Curse of Frankenstein is worse than Castle of Dracula, due to most of the gameplay consisting of wandering in a deserted snowy environment with not much happening.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: What do you mean, Frankenstein doesn't even fight the Monster as the last boss, while he is one of the most iconic monsters ever who could give a truly epic fight??
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The Frankenstein installment could have been done so much better with the strong mythos the original story/franchise has.
