is considered one of the most beautiful Disney Parks music pieces. - Cult Classic: As noted by the last paragraph on the main page, Horizons is one of the most beloved late Epcot attractions.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- New Horizons would become the name of a spacecraft that flew by Pluto, and we don't mean Disney's own Pluto. Also, to a lesser extent, New Horizons became the subtitle of a 2020-released Animal Crossing game.
- One scene on the ride shows a face on the moon. Starting in 2002, the third version of Journey into Imagination would have something similar in the form of Dr. Channing's face on the moon in its final scene.
- Spiritual Successor: To Carousel of Progress due to showing what the future could potentially be like. It helps that the song "There's a Great, Big, Beautiful Tomorrow" plays in one scene.
