• Retroactive Recognition: Fred Wolf (of Murikami-Wolf Swenson who among other things produced Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (1987)) did some of his earliest work as an animator on the film.
• Suspiciously Similar Song: For the first few verses, the title song "Hey There, It's Yogi Bear", which becomes Yogi's Leitmotif throughout the film, sounds very much like "Here Comes Santa Claus".
