- Captain Obvious Reveal: Lucy being X can be figured out rather quickly by viewers, considering they're listed as having the exact same voice actor in the end credits.
- Squick: Mike and Nick drinking from glasses filled with Crying Man's tears.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
- With him having similar motives to Mike and clearly learning his lesson, it's a pity that Ed gave up the Disco Duo instead of keeping them and becoming the third member of Mike and Nick's team, especially because he would have served as a contrast to Dirk and his team, as someone that also suffered and used the heroes for revenge at first, but learned to be better and not become like their abusers. Instead, he disappears after his debut episode.
- The Disco Duo themselves can be considered this, being a quirky and fun duo who are effective in a fight. Sadly, after Mike gets them, they only have a few short appearances, don't get to contribute in fights, and don't even take part in the final battle.
