YMMV / Henry V (1944)

Go To

  • Funny Moments: When the Archbishop is going through a long list of Henry's genealogy to prove that he has a claim to the throne of France, the film takes advantage of the fact that this scene is playing out on the 'real' Globe stage and has the actor playing the Archbishop reading off a mass of papers — until he gets them confused and mixed up, and they end up scattered all over the floor with half the cast on their knees trying to find the right pages so they can finish the damn speech already and get on with the performance. And when the Archbishop's actor (with his mitre nearly falling off his head) beatifically declares 'So as clear as is the summer's sun!' the other actors stare at each other in disbelief.
