  • Alternative Character Interpretation:
    • Hoo boy! Does this episode raise a lot of questions about Blitzo's relationship with Stolas.
      • Stolas's appearance in Blitzo's hallucination and what it means to Blitzo. Does he feel the same as Stolas but their class difference and Blitzo's tendency to push people away prevent him from committing to a relationship? Or is he trapped in a relationship with Stolas and can't really do anything to stop him because of their class difference? Is Stolas appearing on a white throne because Blitzo feels something resembling admiration for him or is it a show of their power imbalance, or both? This also brings their Big Damn Kiss into question. On the one hand, it's the first time the series shows Blitzo happy to take part in Stolas's affections. But on the other hand, the ambiguity of Blitzo's feelings on the matter can make it come across as either he genuinely wanted it, if he's just placating Stolas by turning up the charm, if it's a genuine trauma response caused by either Stolas's behaviour towards him or his recent brush with death, or if he's simply eager for some Glad-to-Be-Alive Sex, or multiple of those things.
      • Notice how Blitzo gets into his role of the dominant just when Stolas was trying to have a simple, tender kiss; is Blitzo doing it because he knows Stolas loves to be the submissive, or is he trying to regain some control after a very emotionally taxing night? Is he trying to create some distance from Stolas' romantic affection in order to remind them both they are just fuckmates, especially himself after having to confront his own complicated feelings towards the owl, and getting back to their dom/sub dynamic is the safest way to not risk further attachment? Or, bringing in the issues with their power imbalance, is he reflexively doing exactly what Stolas wants because on some level he fears him, even if we the viewers know Stolas doesn't want to hurt him?
      • There's a look on Blitzo's face as Stolas's arrives on the scene. Is it one of admiration and a realization that Stolas does care for him or is he realizing just how powerful Stolas is, making Blitzo even more stuck in their relationship?
      • Stolas punctually calling Blitzo his "impish little plaything" raises serious questions about the sincerity of his own feelings towards the imp. Does he really only see Blitzo as a plaything? Is it just his idea of an endearing nickname? Or was it something he only said to sound more terrifying to Agent 1 and 2?
    • Verosika's appearance in Blitzo's hallucination, and whether it suggests that Blitzo actually loved her — or came too close to loving her for his comfort — in addition to feeling bad about hurting her.
    • Why didn't Stolas finish off Agents 1 and 2? For all his scare tactics was murder actually something he just didn't have in him? Were they not worth the trouble? Or did he think they might actually be in a better position to seek revenge against him and Blitz from either Heaven or Hell?
  • Angst? What Angst?: The surviving two agents don't seem to be too bothered about their colleagues' bloody deaths, instead more pleased by finally capturing footage of demons. Agent Two in particular isn't shell-shocked after having being possessed and used by a demon to access the building vía her mouth.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Some fans expressed disappointment that DHORKS ended up being, well, dorks instead of a legitimate threat to IMP. Their insistence on using Edo Period Japanese weaponry for no real reason than Rule of Cool vs. the high tech equipment that we see them have earlier in the episode is a good example of some viewers considering the group not being very well thought out as an antagonistic force.
  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
    • More like a perfectly good joke. A good portion of viewers wished that Blitzo's Your Mom joke would've been capped off with him saying that he personally ran into her in Hell in response to being told that she is dead, which would've made the joke fit more.
    • Due to it having a longer runtime than most of the other episodes, there was arguably a good opportunity for developing Millie and Loona with a subplot focusing on them rescuing Blitz and Moxxie from DHORKS and seeing the two try to work together by overcoming their issues with each other. However, the episode barely gives much focus on the girls up until the finale and instead gives more screentime to Moxxie and Blitz with their truth-serum induced acid trips.
