- Crosses the Line Twice: What the enraged Minki does to the male student body of Doumori Elementary in her introduction (turning them into panties), and how the girls are supposed to break this spell (by *wearing* them). Eww.
- Die for Our Ship: If Ritsuko isn't bashed for refusing Nube's advances, she's bashed by Nube x Yukime fans. She can't win, definitely.
- Ho Yay: Tamamo is very much interested in Nube, because Nube's Power of Love seemingly gives him extraordinary powers that Tamamo wants to possess. However, the lengths he's willing to go to "study" Nube's powers often look a little suspect.
- Unintentional Uncanny Valley: Some of the youkai designs (the Kuchisake-onna, for one) are drawn in a more realistic style that makes them look... off compared to the cutesy artstyle of the series.
