• Award Snub: It was nominated for nine Academy Awards and won for Best Art Direction, but Julie Christie wasn't nominated for Best Actress.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The Los Angeles Rams did in fact play the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Super Bowl a couple years after the film (Super Bowl XIV), and the game was played in Southern California just like in the film (only at the Rose Bowl instead of the Coliseum). The Steelers won in Real Life, however.
