• And You Thought He Would Fail : Did anybody honestly expect Slater would still have a job in WWE after the Nexus faded away? Let alone receive the kind of push he got in late 2016?
• Awesome Music: The 3MB theme is a fan favorite.
• Badass Decay: His career between post-Nexus and the 2016 brand split.
• Ensemble Dark Horse:
  • 2012 onward, Slater's pretty much been a jobber. Yet he's still got a cult following due to many finding his high arrogance and stupidity pretty entertaining.
  • In the 2015 Slammy awards, for the first time the WWE Universe would get to vote for Superstar of the Year. Despite his very few appearances on TV, he managed to get enough of a following to where he got #8 out of the ENTIRE WWE Roster.
  • The 2016 "Free Agent" storyline they've had him done during the reboot of the brand extension has made him more popular than most of the roster. He's gotten chants on RAW, SD, and SummerSlam.
• Evil Is Cool: His whole rock-star motif.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • Was often referred to as 'The Chick From Wendys!' which took after a comment by John Cena. This largely faded away after he got a new hairdo.
  • "Slaters gonna slate!"
  • "BAYBAY!"
  • #SignHeathSlater
  • Slater's angle where he introduced his large family immediately gained comparisons to Cletus Spuckler.
  • The very fact that Slater is still employed by the company, having survived the longest in terms of Wrestling for them with not just Nexus (Daniel Bryan was forcibly retired), but the Corre and 3MB, hell he lasted long enough for Drew and Jinder to not only leave, but to come back as well.
