• Anti-Climax Boss: General Dhong is found dead, and Kurtz willingly submits himself to Percy.
• Ass Pull: Percy becoming the leader of the zombies.
• Demonic Spiders: Huey choppers. Think about a combination between the Apache and the Osprey from the vanilla game. To make things worse, the RPG here cannot be guided using lasers.
• First Installment Wins: A lot of people agreed the Napalm Edition is nowhere near as good as the original version. See also Only the Creator Does It Right.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some of the more "radical" and purist players think this.
• Good Bad Bugs: The Napalm Edition of the mod has a few that are more frequent if the mod is installed on a WON version of Half-life. For instance, the zombies cannot be killed using bullets; when they run out of health they usually fall down to the ground, only to rise again after a few seconds. But sometimes they don't wake up again, and their corpses simply fade away.
• Only the Creator Does It Right: The Napalm Edition was made by an entirely new team with no involvement from the original developers, which contributed to the mod's First Installment Wins reception.
• That One Level: The Racoon Army base.
