- Crack Pairing: Xander and Harmony of all people. Strangely enough, if the reviews are anything to go by, it actually works. By the author's own admission, he was as surprised as everyone else about how popular the pairing was and how it was never originally supposed to play such a big part in the story. Apparently, he just really enjoyed writing their scenes together.
- Ho Yay: When she becomes human Harmony tells Xander to bring his A Game to bed that night or she will end up thinking about Fred. There's actually a lot of this in their relationship, especially during the chapters set in Nepal where they share a bed at one point and Fred strokes Harmony's hair and holds her as she re-adjusts to having a soul again.
- Moment of Awesome:
- Xander riding a motorcycle through a window certainly counts
- Oddly enough, Harmony gets a number of these from catching Xander in mid air while burning in the sun, fighting 100 demons with Fred and a Slayer at her side and her going toe to toe with a demonic version of Faith.
