  • At the end of "Death by Eggnog", Fannie Clark-Van Dam excitedly gushes about how she is going to on The Today Show, saying "Apparently having the last name Van Dam gets you on a couch next to Matt Lauer!". With the 2017 allegations of Matt Lauer sexually harrassing various women, that is something Fannie likely wouldn't want nowadays.
  • Likewise in Death of a Wicked Witch, Connor says that in the production of Dracula, the producers are rumored to be considering Armie Hammer for the role of Van Helsing. Considering he would be exposed as an abuser with a cannibalism fetish, it comes across as plenty scary.
