YMMV / Haydee

Go To

  • Best Known for the Fanservice: What are the odds? The game itself isn't anything groundbreaking, but the main character is very popular in Rule 34 for her assets, which often turn her into a Sex Bot.
  • Critic-Proof: Game reviewers and twitter "pundits" were very quick to dismiss the game because of its blatant Fanservice in the form of Haydee, considering it out of place as well as Fetish Retardant for various reasons. However, most casual gamers who enjoy the game do so in large part because of said fanservice, and Haydee is quite a popular Rule 34 target. If nothing else, it was succesful enough to receive a sequel despite the negative reviews.
  • Demonic Spiders: Slasher bots move very fast, have a tiny head that is the only way to stagger them to avoid damage (the Magnum can with a body shot, but that takes running through the red and green areas to retrieve it), and are usually positioned in such a way that it takes lightning-fast reflexes to keep them from hitting you.
  • Fanon: Due to Haydee's... *Ahem* "assets" and the fact that she appears to be part of a line of mass-produced androids, many fans of the game have speculated that Haydee units are in fact sexbots and that several of them, including the one controlled by the Player, are rogue units trying to escape their fate.
  • Nightmare Fuel: Has its own page.
  • Popular with Furries: Surprisingly, a large amount of the Furry Fandom has taken quite the liking towards Haydee. With many fan art from anthro artists and even a few furry mods for the game.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Quite a lot of the fans weren't too keen on the sequel having its protagonist be fully human rather than the robot/cyborg of the previous one. As her being a Ms. Fanservice Robot Girl that's also The Faceless is the main appeal and why Haydee's so popular in the first place. Although, there is a mod from one of the developers that bring the original Haydee from the first game, just made to fit into the environment, with a lot more customizable features than the main protagonist.
