Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: The protagonist is a sociopathic manipulator that regularly crosses the Moral Event Horizon and is in conflict with a Jerkass middle-class family that has nothing but contempt for him for arbitrary reasons. He manages to be Karma Houdini and is respected by everyone in the end. Needless to say, there is no-one to root for in this film.
