YMMV / Harmony (2008)

• Awesome Music:
  • EGOIST's "Ghost of a Smile", the ending theme of the animated movie.
  • The namesake track in the finale when Project Harmony is activated, can send chills down your spine.
• Fridge Brilliance: The reason why the story ends with Tuan killing Miach to 'keep her memories of old Miach' before Project Harmony takes over is that it's one of the last things she will have control over. Like how a person kept on working with someone they dislike or eating food they hate; free to think despite outward actions or influence from outside.
• Funny Moments: In the beginning, as Tuan herself remarked in the novel, she came all the way to the battlefields just to have some smoke.
• Sliding Scale of Social Satisfaction:
  • "Outside is Burning, Inside is Safe". There are worldwide conflicts ravaging the countries outside of the Admedistration territory, but people inside of it have peak health thanks to Applied Phlebotinum.
  • At the very end, it gets downgraded to "Controlled But Well-Fed". Under the reasoning that if people don't have a conscience, then everyone is happy and only furthers the greater good.
• Squick: The suicide scenes in the film. The camera just outright refuses to look somewhere else.
