  • Harsher in Hindsight: The bad guys' bulletproof longcoats are described as made out of "Japanese light armor". In Real Life, in 1998 Japanese company Toyobo introduced extremely strong ballistic fiber called Zylon. Zylon soft armor was exceptionally thin and light, but turned out to exhibit performance degradation when exposed to humidity and heat. When lifes of two policemen were lost due to inability of degraded Zylon armor to stop the bullets, it was banned from use in body armor.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: The bad guys' Elite Mooks being heavily armed stoic large men in dark Badass Longcoats who seem like they are Made of Iron in a 20 Minutes into the Future urban setting has made several people draw comparisons to the video game Syndicate.
  • Retroactive Recognition: The Native American who gets into a Bar Fight wtih Marlboro in the latter's first scene is played by Branscombe Richmond prior to his most recognizable role as Bobby Sixkiller.
