- Jerkass Woobie: The kangaroo lets out some nasty sarcasm if you pick wrong letters. Since his life on the line, who can blame him?
- Nightmare Fuel: If you lose the game, the kangaroo gets hanged complete with a choking sound effect. Stay on the screen long enough, and the kangaroo's angel flies out of the platform scowling at you.
- Unintentional Period Piece:
- A lot of the Song/Artist puzzles reflect the bands and musicians that were popular in The '90s and early in the Turn of the Millennium.
- The puzzle UNUNUNIUM, which was renamed Roentgenium in 2004.
- Another puzzle is FLORIDA MARLINS. The club became the Miami Marlins in 2012.
