- Awesome Music:
- Spat's theme which is sinister and does a great job matching his devilish traits. It has now been orchestrated by a fan.
- After you defeat Spat, you get to hear Spat Tower's theme. It's lively and majestic.
- Harmony's theme as well.
- Crosses the Line Twice: Hamtaro using Tack-Q against hamsters younger than him. It's worth it just to see them cry and scream for help.
- Even Better Sequel: With a more in-depth plot, more extra minigames than the previous game—as well as three boss battles.
- Most Wonderful Sound: The music that plays when you save a relationship.
- No Problem with Licensed Games: The game is better than you'd expect as it appears actual effort was put into it. The music is catchy, the story is more in-depth, and the sprites are much cleaner, and sharper than the their past entries.
- Scrappy Mechanic:
- In the mini-game Tic Tack-Q, you have a hamster on either side of you and all the balloons are in play for them too. They will sometimes beat you into popping the balloons you're waiting for or change the direction and speed of the balloons, throwing you off.
- The mini-game Stickie Note has Hamtaro using the Stickie ham chat to catch falling pieces of paper. The chat animation only stops if Hamtaro catches one which means it will play through if he doesn't get any. Since you can't stop it yourself, you have to wait a few seconds to try it again.
- Sidetracked by the Gold Saucer: The three mini-games in Fun Land are surprisingly addictive, particularly Tic Tack-Q.
- Slow-Paced Beginning: Right after you first meet Harmony, the game gets consistently more fun.
- Squick: The hamster who teaches you Blushie runs away from you in embarrassment. When you Stickie the bush where you found him, the stick will have his poop on it.
- Suspiciously Similar Song: The bass line to the Ham-Chat dictionary screens sounds very similar to "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morrison.
- That One Achievement: The dance competition, particularly Class A. Succeeding in that class requires you to learn every Ham-Chat in the game except for the last which is given to you for winning.
- Viewer Gender Confusion: Spat is male, although his devil costume does make him look feminine.
