• Harsher in Hindsight: During the Reapers' negotiations with the Batarian Hegemony over the recruitment of the latter as auxiliary forces of the former, the Reapers had claimed that they can easily obliterate the Hegemony in order to intimidate the Batarians into cooperating. Now fast forward to the release of the canon 'Mass Effect 3' game, it turns out that obliterating the Batarian Hegemony is the Reapers' first act of invasion during the current galactic extinction cycle in addition to harvesting the Batarians. That invasion was carried out with immense success for the Reapers.
• Hilarious in Hindsight: As a reviewer by the name of 'Spartan-168-Django' had pointed out, many elements in the 'Angels of the Storm' fanfic ended up appearing in the actual Mass Effect 3 game:
  • An ancient warrior who fought the Reapers in a previous cycle returns to help the war effort (Javik/Yamzarat Machtoro).
  • The final battle determining the fate of the universe takes place in London.
  • The Citadel itself being used as a Reaper-killing weapon.
  • The description of the Reaper soldiers being similar to Cerberus assault troopers (visored helmets, and behaving more like a modern military than a bunch of mindless space zombies).
