• Even Better Sequel: Silent Storm is well-liked as a throwback to the "gritty sci-fi" style of many early Halo novels, but on the same coin is sometimes criticised for being a bit too safe and formulaic with its subject matter. Oblivion fixes this by featuring a far more unique and fantastical premise without losing the grounded tone that Troy Denning's Halo books are known for.
