  • Broken Base: Grow Clay was pretty controversial. Some decried it for being an advergame, while others felt that On has to make a living somehow. This is somewhat understandable given that On has done advergames beforenote  but none have been quite so blatant as Grow Clay.
  • Funny Moments: In Grow Valley, if the mechanic, electrician and the architect complete the road before the designer finishes his design, a short scene will play where the designer looks around in confusion, realises his hard work was for nothing and proceeds to yell at the others over the phone.
  • Harsher in Hindsight:
    • Grow Recovery (also known as Grow nano vol.3) is a lot more uncomfortable to play after On was diagnosed with a heart disease that got so bad that he was clinically dead for about a minute during a surgery operation for it. The game also shows the Onky's family giving him love and support as he recovers, which... didn't quite happen in real life, as On's wife would ultimately divorce him over the stress surrounding the entire situation and the recurring Onky family that we see in Grow games, including this one, is based on On's own family. Although he's still in good term with his ex-wife and children, toning it down a bit.
    • Grow Comeback was meant to serve as a comeback to On's creations after a period of online inactivity. Sadly, it ended up being a short-lived return, because On was the victim of severe health problems shortly after the game came out. Said health problems slowed down On's projects a lot.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Grow Cube takes place on a big cube made of smaller cubes, giving it similarities with Minecraft which came out years later.
  • Most Wonderful Sound: The cheering crowd when you win or when you almost get everything at level MAX can make you feel proud.
  • I Am Not Shazam: The creator of the Grow games is sometime called "Eyezmaze", which is actually the name of his website. The creator himself goes by the username "On".
  • Porting Disaster: It's minor, but some Grow games made with HTML5 have some pixelated artifacts in some places, which also applies to some Flash games that were ported on HTML5 and originally had no visual problems.
