• Ass Pull: The twist of Lucinda being Evil All Along and the one mistreating her stepfamily, as her godfather claims, doesn't really add up. Given that her stepfamily outnumbers her, and her stepmother gained control of her father's fortune, even leaving it to her own daughters, one has to wonder what possible leverage she would've had over them. It even seems unlikely that the stepfamily knew she was a Murcielago; otherwise, they'd be afraid of her. Meredith refusing to offer financial help, or even disinheriting her in the first place, suggests she didn't think Lucinda had any power to retaliate. Even the stepsisters initially name Arthur as a suspect, as if they don't think Lucinda could be capable of murder. And they weren't worried about pissing off Lucinda by naming her husband, either.
