• Moment of Awesome:
  • When GREYHOUND goes up against not one, but two U-Boats that have already launched their torpedoes at it, and the CO has to thread the needle between the two torpedoes and once he's dodged one, the second scrapes against the hull and completely fails to detonate. After that, GREYHOUND pulls a V, and has her turn and gives the first of the two U-Boats every gun she can bring to bear.
  • Any time a U-Boat is sunk will have a viewer going "Got'em!" when the U-Boat suddenly explodes or sinks and doesn't come back.
  • Greyhound (a destroyer) and Dicky (a corvette) teaming up against a U-Boat. The U-Boat captain, who can't dive, decides the best tactic is get in under Greyhound's guns, then move right next to Dicky so Greyhound can't get a clear shot for a minute or two.
  • A quick demonstration as to why U-Boat crews considered engaging anything in air strike range to be a suicidal nightmare as a single pass from a PBY Catalina blows a sub apart.
