YMMV / Gretel and Hansel

• Funny Moments: In the first game, Gretel can find a cute rabbit outside (where the well is at). If clicked, she kisses it until she dies.
• Game-Breaking Bug: When playing the second game in Newgrounds (as of October 2017), after Gretel tries to exit the stickman's area, Gretel is instantly from the exit at the other side (lacking her hat) and Hansel is there, playing with the dead body.
• Good Bad Bugs: In the second game, it is possible, through a bug, to get both the Wolf-Slaying Arrow and the Bone by taking one, leaving, going back into the cave, and lighting the other torch. This will cause the game to freeze, as it doesn't know how to react since the Eldritch Abomination is still too frozen to attack you, even though you have both items. Simply reload the game to continue with both items. However, when encountering the wolf, you'll only use the arrow.
• Heartwarming Moments:
  • Despite (or perhaps because of) the extremely cynical nature of the game, Gretel being reunited with Hansel certainly counts. Hansel later helps Gretal cross the river by having her to ride on his shoulders.
  • To a lesser extent, when you give Rufus his hat back.
• Tear Jerker: Emma's part of the forest. You know it's going to be something bad when you first arrive, even without the glasses, because the music stops and is replaced by the sound of a crying woman longside there being a standing faceless woman like a mannequin. When you do get the glasses, though, you get to watch Emma's life with her supposed husband...including how he attacked her with an axe and left her to die, only for a face-stealer to steal her face at her final moments. If you do manage to return her face, her mortal axe wound re-emerges to finish her off. There is no happy ending for her at all.
