• Awesome Art: All of the animated segments of this special are this. However, the animation of the special's version of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" is pretty gorgeous, with swirling blues and golds reminiscent of the stars in Van Gogh's "Starry Night".
• Funny Moments: Pretty much most of the children interview segments, including the post-credits outtake which became a classic meme ever since.
• Heartwarming Moments: The Tar Beach segment is sweet enough to make you tear up. It's ten minutes of a little girl talking about her loving family and her dreams, as a woman softly sings in the background. The purity and joy in the actresses' voice really sells it.
• Memetic Mutation: The post-credits outtake has reached this status, to the point that most people today are aware of the special's existence only because of the meme.
• Sweet Dreams Fuel: Quite possibly the most literal example out there. It's a collection of lullabies and bedtime stories, with gorgeous art and music, all incredibly soft and cozy.
