• Alternate Character Interpretation:
  • Given his effectiveness in combat (he's the one who delivers the killing blow to Butch) and Liam making the bad decision to have Tom killed, one could wonder if Fergal is really a Genius Ditz.
  • It's left open whether Amber knows about her father's violent tendencies. She seems shocked when she hears about Butch's murder, but Tom tries to brag that Johnny is his father when Fergal and Liam kidnap him. Did Tom know or suspect, and Amber didn't?
• Crosses the Line Twice:
  • When Johnny is briefing Liam and Fergal, two attendants are trying to move James's body in a Funny Background Event.
  • Fergal bashing Tom's head in becomes funny when he pauses as if to go "is he dead yet?" and then whacks him once more just to be safe.
• Funny Moments:
  • Johnny Mac asks for any questions at the end of the brief. Fergal raises his hand like a student in school.
  Fergal: Why's he called Butch?
  beat.
  Johnny: I've no fucking clue.
  • Fergal's Head-Tiltingly Kinky reactions to Liam punching Tom.
  • Liam's epic attempts to avoid getting busted.
  Johnny: Do you know his name?
  Liam: Tom...
  Johnny: Tom WHAT???
  Liam: Tom the parking guy?
• Hilarious in Hindsight: The murder of Butch, especially the part where Fergal kicks him in the balls. Bobby Calloway and Robert Madden then star in High and Tight as loving brothers.
• Hollywood Pudgy: Liam alludes to Fergal having a beer belly, which could be Hypocritical Humour on his part.
• Nightmare Fuel: Johnny taking the gloves off at the end is pretty scary as soon as he starts shouting.
