- Just Here for Godzilla: The main reason this comic is still so well known is for Godzilla’s battle with The Avengers, especially after the massive success of the Avengers film.
- Heartwarming Moments: Godzllia's friendship with Rob (if you can call it that). The kid helps him when he is the size of a human and understands that he isn't evil. The Big G seems to return the kindness in the last issue as Rob is talking him down, he picks him up gently goes to the water at Rob's pleas, and puts him back down on the helicarrier when he gets to the port.
- Hilarious in Hindsight: The centipede-like monster from the Godzilla (2014) teaser trailer seems to unintentionally evoke the centipede-like monsters Godzilla fought in this
◊ comic◊. - Signature Scene: Bringing up the moment where J. Jonah Jameson has the balls to YELL at Godzilla is popular when discussing the series online.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot:
- 24 issues and he never once faced off against Fin Fang Foom. Dang shame.
- Back in the day, the letters page was filled with pleas to see Godzilla take on the Hulk. We missed out on that too.
