- Assistant's name is also greatly theorized, most commonly as Raine or Raina Bow, because of her rainbow hair and powers. Another nickname some give her is Rassistant. All we currently know are her initials.
- A common nickname for Indigo is Plue.
- Les Yay: Some between Assistant and Seaweed, as well as Assistant and Nim.
- Moral Event Horizon: Cakegirl crosses it when she kidnaps Harold, crashes Wallis's magic show, and bends Seaweed's wand to the point of almost breaking it.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Some people's reactions when Word of God restarted the comic and changed Assistant from a boy to a girl. The protests have mostly died down now, though, as people came to like fem!Assistant.
