  • A mild example, but still an example nonetheless. She's only barely known in Australia (with Melbourne being the city most likely to have heard of her) but in the US she scored a number-one Breakthrough Artist and top-twenty Dance hit with both "Vertigo" and the album Ascension. Justified in that she divides her time between Australia and the USA.
  • Played extremely straight with her popularity in China. She was mobbed by large crowds when doing her live tour there.
  • "Voodoo" was also a top 20 hit in Latin America.
• Suspiciously Similar Song:
  • Some of the piano chord progressions in "Ascension" sound as though they've been lifted directly from Savage Garden's "To The Moon and Back".
  • "Like a Ghost" also sounds suspiciously close to Havana Brown's "We Run the Night", down to the breakdown.
  • "Pretty in Pink" essentially sounds like Nicki Minaj's "Right Thru Me" in a higher key and a slightly faster tempo.
