- Faux Symbolism - While Galactic Crucibles is mostly modeled after realistic progression of civilizations, one can argue that it is deeper symbols in some areas.
- One might say that the Chaos Crisis is an analogue to the Book of Revelation and the Apocalypse.
- Infra is comparable to the anti-Christ. He is trying to revive 'Vernietigen', which happens to mean 'destruction' in Dutch.
- The phases of the destruction of galactic civilization roughly follow the order the Horsemen of the Apocalypse appear - the Gomodds/Sidian representing Conquest, the internal conflicts following representing War, and the Anathema are Famine followed by Death.
- Brunikor is heavily implied to be the physical location of Hell itself. Even the leader of the Demons is named Satan.
- Galactic Crucibles definitely shows influence from post 9/11 culture. Particularly, the conflict between the Galactic Senate and the Altusian Brotherhood/Gomodds has some suspicious similarities to a certain conflict in the Middle East. Despite this, the rules of the wiki assert that none of its stories are meant to be political allegories.
- The Altusian Brotherhood is trying to establish a claim on the "Promised Land" while in conflict with a number of other factions.
- One might say that the Chaos Crisis is an analogue to the Book of Revelation and the Apocalypse.
- Nightmare Fuel: The site has some absolutely delightful moments both in stories and on the informative articles. Such examples include:
- Infra's very graphic death and subsequent Not Quite Dead moment would cualify.
- The Anathema are very un-nerving: Femtotech monstrocities capable of teleportation (meaning they could be right next to you and you wouldn't even know it) that can consume, transport and reconstitue matter, who's directive only ends when they are satisfied that their goal has been reached. This only happens when almost all life in the universe has been exterminated and there is barely anything left to inhabit.
- Let's not forget the Gomodd. The standard variations are basically normal individuals brainwashed, butchered and stitched-up into soulless, fanatical soldiers that live only to serve their master. The Larger variety can be considered even worse: They are created by melting down organisms into biomatter and/or extracting components to be used in the construction of the husks and then a "lucky" individual has their brain built into it, turning it into a CPU. In most cases, this is done while they are NOT indoctrinated.
- Moral Event Horizon: Several villains cross or come close to crossing the line.
- Sidian has been stated to have crossed the line several times in the past and does so before he even makes a full appearance near the end of "Beyond the Stone Ring" by killing many members of the Altusian Brotherhood (who may have been innocent in the whole affair) to test wether or not his old toys still worked.
- Infra could cualify after he let the aforementioned atrocity happen and awakens an amoral A.I. with plans to conquer the galaxy just to get a chance to serve it.
