• Awesome Music: The jazzy soundtrack reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop receives a lot of praise.
• Moment of Awesome:
  • Hajiki managing to outrun Jack and his Heavy Metal pilot in episode 3. All while on a (as Hajiki himself put it) rather cheap scooter.
  • Episode 5, Aiko risking her own life to protect Sayuri when Katana and Zero nearly killed her while escaping during a robbery.
  • In episode 6, all current Techode wielders working together to stop the run-away train A-Techode. In the end it's thanks to a little help from Katana that finally wins them the battle.
  • Episode 13, Hajiki rushing to save Katana from an unstoppable assassin by smacking him in the head with a metal rod.
• Tear Jerker:
  • Episode 8, watching Thunderbolt get badly beaten by Seikai and Isa. Poor Takumi is so distressed, he hugs Thunderbolt as he cries for his Techode. Something the catches Seikai and Isa off guard.
  • Episode 17, watching Thunderbolt go nuts and beat the crap out of Messerschmitt. Despite Takumi's best efforts to call him off. Then, when he finally stops and it appears he's calmed down, he instead fades away into a scattering of light.
  • Episode 22, Kirara's death.
• Viewer Gender Confusion: Takumi. The long blond hair and female voice actor did it.
• The Woobie:
  • Poor Techode Kirara.
