• Alternate Character Interpretation: Garou's team is committing vigilante executions because the serum is messing with their minds and binding them to his will.
• Jerkass Woobie: Garou's team of fellow Ax-Crazy vigilantes. They all have dark and troubled pasts (lost a sister to gang violence, lost a husband to a home invasion, left with spinal damage by a knife wound, and accidentally drove a fellow cop insane while trying to save his life with an injection of Garou's healing potion). Garou sees them as completely expendable, but manipulates them into becoming dependent on both his friendship and guidance and upon the addictive injections that make them transform, to the point where it's debatable how much choice they have in following him.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character:
  • Garou's team could have played a bigger role in the climax and even survived, breaking free of him with Max and making him their new leader.
  • Silvano and his goons could have been kept around longer and been bigger antagonists.
  • Jim might have made a good sidekick if he hadn't killed himself.
