  • Fashion-Victim Villain: Froggy and Mike apparently view Farty Krueger as this, and the first thing Mike does upon seeing him is roast his sweater. Farty ends up firing back with an insult about Mike's signature outfit.
Mike said "Farty, why's your sweater red and green?
It ain't Christmas, homeboy, it's Halloween"
Farty said "Mike, you don't like my sweater, punk?
You ain't washed that Mac Miller shirt in like nine months"
  • Growing the Beard: After his first two songs, The Baddest and Haters Wanna Be Me, which were So Bad, It's Good and relied on Bile Fascination to draw attention, Froggy Fresh released "Best Friends", which featured some actual good rapping, though it also told a story that was full of Narm Charm. Then, after changing his name from Krispy Kreme to Froggy Fresh, he released Same Old Kid, which is a completely serious song with very little to no Narm and genuinely great lyrics and rapping, proving once and for all that he doesn't need to rely on Stylistic Suck to be entertaining.
  • Memetic Mutation: Dunked On, especially when paired with Undertale.
  • Nightmare Fuel:
  • Overshadowed by Controversy: His planned appearance and sudden removal from the lineup of iDubbbz's Creator Clash 2 has become this for the entire event to an extent. Several months after announcing the return of the Froggy Fresh persona, Froggy was announced as being scheduled to box Chris Ray Gun, but he was removed unceremoniously from the roster around three weeks prior to the event taking place.
Froggy was clearly upset by being dropped so close to the starting date of the event due to the large amount of money and time he had put into training for it, as well as frustration over not receiving a proper explanation for why he was removed. He was further threatened with legal action by the organizers for discussing the situation, which only upset him more to the point of Cassidy actually breaking character to respond.
The decision to give him the boot was widely critized by the public, including a number of large YouTube creators, most notably Cr1TiKaL and Mutahar of SomeOrdinaryGamers, the latter of whom offered to foot Cassidy's legal fees if a lawsuit was filed.
    • Initially, no official reason was given and Froggy was not told why he was being dropped, though it was speculated as having something to do with being trained by Sam Hyde (whom iDubbbz has bad blood with), as well as a mild joke he made in a vlog about iDubbbz's wife and event co-organizer Anisa Jomha's OnlyFans page. Both of these culminated with Froggy firing back at a Twitter account alleged to belong to Jomha's mother that called him an "imp" with "small balls" and "brain damage" while demanding his removal from the roster. iDubbbz later released a video stating that Cassidy's associating with Hyde was the reason for his removal, due to disparaging comments Hyde had previously made towards Jomha. The response to this was rather mixed, as many felt Ian's justification for giving Tyler the boot was flimsy, given he hadn't repeated or endorsed any of Hyde's comments, and that the attempts Ian made to paint Tyler in a negative light were in bad faith. Conversely, some did support iDubbbz's decision due to Hyde's status as a controversial figure.
    • The situation was only made worse after it was revealed that Creator Clash 2 had failed to make any sort of profit, resulting in no money being donated to charity at all, which was the entire purpose of the event. Cassidy ended up releasing a (now deleted) song joking about fighting iDubbbz in a cage match in order to earn back the money, as well as expressing his frustrations on Twitter about the charities he had signed onto Creator Clash to support not receiving any of the donations iDubbbz raised in an attempt to recoup the money lost by the event.
  • Retroactive Recognition: The person who plays Gator Jones shows up in an unnamed background role in Stolen Bikes 2, prior to Gator's introduction in Jimmy Butler Is Your Father.
  • Special Effects Failure: Lampshaded by the production quality of the videos.
  • Tear Jerker: Push Me features some dramatic and sad moments, making it especially striking since most of Froggy's songs are lighthearted in nature. The song opens with Froggy having a Nightmare Sequence in which he dreams about Mike dying via Fun Trip overdose, illustrating his fear and guilt of not being able to save him from his addiction.
I had a dream that my best friend died
He was laying on the couch as he closed both of his eyes
And I just sat and stared ahead trying not to cry
And all that I could say was "I tried, Mama, I tried"
And when I walked on over to him to pay my last respects
He opened up his eyes like he had risen from the dead
He said "Why didn't you save me? Why didn't you take me
And bring me home and get me clean? Why didn't you make me?"
What could I say to that? I couldn't say a thing
I'd seen all the pain inside his eyes, I could've stopped that pain
I could've grabbed him by his collar, dragged him through the streets
And kept him locked up all alone inside a room for weeks
If I loved Mike, that's exactly what I would've done
If I loved him like a brother, if I loved him like a son
I'd have gave my own life, just to save his
Without the love of another, man, an addict can't quit
  • Unintentional Uncanny Valley: Mr. Kane falls into this sometimes due to being portrayed by someone wearing a full-face silicone mask in order to look like an old man. It works in the character's favor due to his mysterious and threatening nature.
  • What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: While Cassidy has stated he does try to keep his Froggy Fresh material as relatively family-friendly, some of his later works, such as Fun Trip and Push Me cover serious topics, including drug addiction, and gang violence.
