Condemned by History: While FreezeFlame22's earliest videos were rather successful during the time they were released, nowadays, most fans look back at the older videos negatively, mainly due to the franchise Growing the Beard and the Early-Installment Weirdness found in early videos causing them to heavily contrast with newer episodes, the overwhelming Sadist Show humor, and a few editing flops. The lighting rod of the backlash tends to be The Koopa Kids, as most fans tend to see the quirks of the early videos as a result of its lingering influence. Even FreezeFlame22 himself regards his oldest works with embarrassment and regret, which culminated into the first three seasons of Carl getting a remaster.
Epileptic Trees: Due to their similar hairstyles and prominent sharp fang, many fans had speculated that Lucina Bishop was Ludwig biological mother. While Word of God has stated that that was the original plan, the two of them are completely unrelated. The fact that Ms. Bishop was retired from Carl starting with the fourth season only seemed to plunge this down even further. Eventually, Ludwig's real biological mother was revealed to be Sophia Eisenhower, the wife of King Johann XVIII of the Bohenkraut Kingdom. Additionally, Ms. Bishop returned for the remastered versions for the first three seasons of Carl, but her designed was heavily altered to remove any lingering connection to Ludwig.
Assuming that any of the series follow the Nintendo canon will definitely piss off the fandom. The three shows take place in the FreezeFlame22 Universe (yes, that is the official name) and have little to no relation to what is established in the Super Mario Bros. series.
Fandom Rivalry: Fans of Freeze's content had a minor one with fans of Dannywaving's content, primarily A Day With Bowser Jr. When Freeze initially began making content, many of Dannywaving's fans flocked to Freeze's channel accusing him of ripping off Danny's content. The rivalry seems to have calmed down during the 2020s, both due to Freeze gaining more experience as a writer and content creator, and A Day With Bowser Jr. being Quietly Cancelled in favor of Danny making original works.
Germans Love David Hasselhoff: Freeze is a UK-based content creator, but the bulk of his fanbase comes from outside of the UK, primarily the US and Canada.
Jerks Are Worse Than Villains: Gooper is a horrendous bully who sees women as objects, Tyson is a power-thirsty psychopath who doesn't care who gets hurt as long as he is able to achieve his goal, Candy psychologically abused DK and almost made him lose his friends and job... but the way they are presented makes it difficult for the audience to entirely hate them. Hate Sinks without further characterization, such as Dominik Bones (who verbally abuses Dry Bones on a daily basis and is the reason why he developed an inferiority complex), and Emily (A Flat Character that what little personality she has consists of being a massive asshole) are much more hated by the fanbase.
He Really Can Act: The voice acting of all the shows is really good for the most part, but standouts include Carmen, Swoldow and Popplio Power, who perfectly capture the essence of the characters they play in any given situation. Wars of Frozen Flames in particular does a magnificent job in the voice acting department; the characters really feel like they both belong in the past and FreezeFlame22 canon.
Love to Hate: Every single Big Bad in the FreezeFlame22 universe (Gooper, Mary-Lynn, Sebastian, McInnes, Bowser Jr., Camilla, Tyson, Krusha, Kennedy, and Candy). They may be obnoxious and have little to no redeeming qualities, but they are so well-written that you can't help but enjoy every single second they have of screentime.
Because of the high amount of lore that there is regarding the Koopa Family, many people joke that FreezeFlame22 is a History teacher.
"Who is Fryguy?"ExplanationOne Running Gag in Bowser's Koopalings is that, apart from his teammates, no one can remember Fryguy's name. Because of this, the fandom jokingly state that they don't know who Fryguy is.
"Executed by anarchists"ExplanationA line that was said three times in the trailer for the Wars of Frozen Flames mini-series when King John Koopa VI asks what happened to the Secretary of Treasury, General Klay, and the castle's barman. The blunt way the characters say the line in lead to the line becoming a reaction quote among the fanbase. Almost anything gets you sentenced to be "executed by anarchists" in the official Discord server.
Discredited Meme: Because of the amount of times the line has been used in the Discord Server, many fans have grown tired of the joke. It does not help much that Wars of Frozen Flameshad to be delayed until Early 2022. When the line showed up again in the first episode of the series, it is even said in a much more exasperating tone.
"He's a bloody northerner!"ExplanationThis is Ludwig's reaction when first meeting his parallel universe-self. The line soon became very popular, with it being constantly quoted by fans
"NO ONE calls Grace annoying!"ExplanationIn "Boo's Big Date", Talia says this after Kylie reveals that Emily had called Grace annoying. This lead to various edits and jokes about Talia murdering anyone who dares to call Grace annoying, with Emily and Calvin being the most common victims.
YOUR MOTHER WAS A DUMB BITCH!! MEAD!! NOW!!ExplanationIn Part 2 of "The Feeble King", This is Erik Bane's response when his squire says his mother told him it's unwise to drink before a tournament. The way Erik's voice actor delivers the line delivered has caused this to become one of the most quoted lines in any of FreezeFlame22's videos.
In Wars of Frozen Flames Sigmund's Last Words are "Aw, ductile pastries!" (after he had been told to "keep them short and sweet"). Since then, fans have jokingly associated Sigmund with pastries, to the point of almost making them his Trademark Favorite Food.
Narm Charm: All of FreezeFlame22's shows have intriguing lore, enthralling characters, and sophisticated storytelling. Concurrently, they are comedies animated with sprite work and located in a world based on Nintendo.
What Do You Mean, It's Not for Kids?: Yes, FreezeFlame22 makes sitcoms based off the Super Mario Bros. series with colorful sprites and backgrounds, but they are definitely not aimed at children. The four shows have mild swearing (with the stronger profanities being censored), deal with mature topics such as verbal, psychological and emotional abuse, blackmail and bullying, and feature characters such as Bowser Jr. (a manipulative, sociopathic 9 year-old child). Wars of Frozen Flames in particular, being based off Wars of the Roses, features on-screen deaths among other acts of violence. Freeze's YouTube channel description even has a disclaimer about how his content is not meant for children.
