YMMV / Fraidy Cat

• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • The idea of a cat on his last and final life being pursued by death at every corner while haunted by his eight past selves seems amusingly familiar as of 2023.
  • There's also a character named Longtail.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The show does have a solid premise, but thanks to Filmation's low production values and formulaic storylines, many people argue that the show falls flat.
• Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: Part of why the show failed, as it can become quite a chore to constantly witness Fraidy having to go through so many bad things and never catching a break. That the other lives and Cloud Nine always show up without fail at least once per episode only makes things worse.
• The Woobie: Fraidy. Oh, poor Fraidy. He has to go through the hell that is his ninth life, being made worse and worse by his lives, stray dogs, other animals, or even other cats that have it out for him.
