- Better on DVD: When originally broadcast on television, the series was one of the ITV network's biggest ever flops. (The DVD cover calls it a "hit series". It's lying.) The DVD has done pretty well thanks to the subsequent fame of Hugh Laurie and Benedict Cumberbatch. One can only assume that the casting of Peter Capaldi as the Doctor will open up yet another new market.
- The Woobie: While most of the things that happen to him are Played for Laughs, Paul can more than count.
