- Some readers found the sex scene with Mrs. Bismaquer to be this. Less due to her deformity of having one breast and more due to her being Blofeld's daughter.
- Similarly, many readers were icked out by the fact Felix Leiter essentially pimps his twenty-year-old daughter to Bond.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: Blofeld's daughter is killed unceremoniously in her first appearance.
- Values Dissonance: Cedar, Bond, and Nena all hold Markus in contempt for his bisexuality. It's also a redeeming quality which allows him to turn against SPECTRE.
