• Cliché Storm: Has the things you would easily expect in a 90s action movie; prisoners on the run, even having to make a huge jump to get themselves out of danger, a heroic cop side character who operates on a time frame and gets suspended on a gunfight gone wrong, a mob boss wanting one of the characters dead and a Dirty Cop revealed to be working for said mob boss all along.
• Jerkass Woobie: Dodge isn't the nicest character in the movie, but you can't help but feel sorry for him after having his girlfriend and good friend killed by the bad guys in such short succession.
