- Awesome Music: As usual, Tangerine Dream delivers with a haunting score evocative of the film's desert setting.
- Harsher in Hindsight: At one point, Carson causes a plane to crash in what initially appears to be a drug bust gone bad. Two years later, the stunt pilot, Art Scholl, would die in a real-life accident on the set of Top Gun.
- Hilarious in Hindsight:
- This wasn't the last time Kurtwood Smith and Miguel Ferrer would appear together in a film dealing with themes of police and government corruption.
- Logan's penultimate line in the film is "I'll be back."
- Moment of Awesome: The climactic shootout scene, where Logan faces down the bastards who killed Ernie and the others and picks them apart one by one. Tangerine Dream's scoring makes the scene all the more epic.
