• Cliché Storm: A big problem fans pointed out with the first episode of the reboot - all the characters utilize tropes that effectively have been used over and over and over again. As well, they use "ki" as their "mystical energy source" when so many other franchises use other kinds or create new names for it.
• Unintentionally Unsympathetic / Unintentionally Sympathetic: Due to the Adaptational Villainy and Adaptational Heroism listed on the main page, the rebooted first episode winds up changing the situation from the quirky-but-overall-well-meaning Anti-Heroes dealing with a Starter Villain, to the sociopathic "heroes" brutalizing a quirky-but-overall-well-meaning starter "villain". Especially for those unfamiliar with the original work and so wouldn't have any preconceptions about the characters.
