YMMV / Fire Emblem: Different Dimensions: Ostian Princess

Go To

  • Game-Breaker: Everyone, especially Holy, Diego, and Geitz. Holy's stats are maxed out aside from his massively low movement and he comes with both Aureola and Forblaze (and his starting inventory contains Boots, the stat-boost item that raises Movement), Geitz also has a couple stats capped and is generally invincible, and Diego promotes into the class of the Big Bad and can use his exclusive tome. While the game isn't very hard even without these three, they absolutely demolish any minimal challenge it can claim to have.
  • Good Bad Bugs: Quite a few, given the hack's generally low quality.
    • Most palettes in the game were applied with little care for the sprite they're applied to, leaving most characters with bizarre and glitchy coloring.
    • Suspending the game and resuming it will make Zack's defense go from two dashes to 31 defense. His 31 defense will disappear once he levels up, he will lose defense instead of gaining defense. It can also sometimes remedy his negative Constitution score in the same way.
    • Sometimes, two Enemoks will appear. It is unknown how to make two appear, but one will leave immediately after the episode and sometimes only one Enemok will appear. The duplicate Enemok has the same inventory as Enemok did when he joined, including an extra pair of boots!note  Use both boots on Holy or Geitz and watch any minimal challenge this game poses fly out the window.
    • Unit duplication can also happen with Natalie, but she doesn't have boots and she's pretty useless.
    • Duplication can also happen with Ninian meaning that one can potentially have three characters that can allow other allies to act again. There is one problem with this, however. She appears right near the boss in chapter 9 so if she is neglected, her frailty could likely mean her death and a game over.
    • Depending on the version, promoting Serra can either cause a Game-Breaking Bug or can cause her to promote to random NPC classes the player wasn't meant to use, including Fire Dragon.
    • Accessing Hector Mode causes the player to be sent back into Lilian Mode after the first chapter, causing the game to loop endlessly.
    • The final boss of Lilian's mode, Uther, wields weapons with glitched-out statboosts that cause him to either have massively low accuracy, take absurd damage from magic, or be incapable of dealing damage, meaning no matter what weapon he chooses he'll be an utter cakewalk. Oddly, he appears to favor the last of the three, despite how badly it neuters him.
    • Aureola no longer has a proper weapon rank, meaning anyone can wield it to take advantage of its absurd stat boosts. This includes Natalie, who's normally The Load. Unfortunately, its Defense stat boost is broken and gives the unit negative Defense, turning anyone who uses it into a One Hitpoint Wonder.
