• Salvaged Story: The attitudes of the Llaverac clan towards gender and how they identify internally are slightly altered between "Voice" and "Chase the Lady", reflecting increased social understanding of trans and non-binary people in the decade or so of real-world time between the two stories.
• Squick: "It's HAM!" We find out that "ham" is a term for a thing that a particular clan's women will siphon extra calories to after they pass a particular BMI, apparently an adaptation to stay slim. It seems to grow in the uterus, as they look slightly pregnant while they're growing one and cannot become pregnant while they're working on a "ham"
