- Epic Riff:
- “Welcome to the Fold” has a massive riff that’s epic in every sense of the word.
- Their biggest hit, "Hey Man Nice Shot" manages to have both its bassline and the guitar riff count as a one-two punch of epic riffery.
- Even Better Sequel: Title of Record was sonically a step up from Short Bus; picking live drums over a drum machine probably helped.
- Funny Moments: "So I Quit" begins with "MOTHERFUCKERRRRRRRRRRR" after which Patrick coughs himself hoarse.
- Harsher in Hindsight: Sure, Richard was never really arrested, but the lyrics to "My Long Walk To Jail" hit a little extra hard after Patrick went to rehab instead of touring for parent album The Amalgamut.
- Narm: "Dose," which is typical stuff for early Filter, but contains this gem: "I hate it when you preach your case / It makes me wanna stick my dick in your face!!!" note
- Retroactive Recognition: Richard can be spotted alongside Trent in the Nine Inch Nails video "Head Like A Hole", which dates back to his days in the band.
- Signature Song: Despite the surprise success of "Take A Picture", Filter never quite escaped being the band that did the infamous "Hey Man Nice Shot".
- Win Back the Crowd: Crazy Eyes is seen as a return to form. Especially to anyone who misses the era when Industrial Metal was the most popular metal genre.
