• Contested Sequel: Many would debate on how the later Road To... episodes, this one included, would compare to the earlier ones: some find them to be as good as the previous ones, others find them to be not as good.
• Genius Bonus: Brian's quip that Germany doesn't have any oil is probably at least partly a subtle reference to the fact that Nazi Germany was constantly hindered by a lack of reliable access to oil, which helped explain why Hitler made some of the decisions he did (such as prioritizing the Caucasus over other axes of offense on the Russian front in 1942) and was a major contributing factor in the eventual outcome of the war.
