• Angst? What Angst?: Peter's mother doesn't seem bothered at all by the fact that her son sold her TV for crack.
• Awesome Music: My Drunken Irish Dad, a catchy, Celtic-folk number.
• Crosses the Line Twice: Mother Teresa dying of a drug overdose? Not funny. Stewie dumping her body outside of a hospital while the drug dealers plead him not to leave her alone? Hilarious.
• Harsher in Hindsight: One Cutaway Gag involves Stewie being snubbed by an Asian Mall Santa, at least partly explaining his entitlement to other people's things. A later Christmas episode would have Stewie be snubbed by a Mall Santa again, only this time he takes it so badly that he plots to kill the real Santa.
• Memetic Mutation:
  • The scene where Peter does crack has been parodied to hell and back on YouTube. Parodies of the scene include:
    • Only Brian talking.
    • Only Peter talking.
    • Peter and Brian talking over each other.
    • Every word being replaced by "crack".
    • Brian saying "What the FUCK?!" being censored in hilarious ways.
    • Peter glitching out.
    • Peter's last line being changed from "Government came and took my baby!" to "Government came and took my crack!"
    • And several others.
  • The Cutaway Gag where Peter shouts "DONE!" and walks out of a movie theatre after making it halfway through Failure to Launch has numerous people putting their own spin on it as a way to talk about movies or TV shows they dislike.
