• Hilarious in Hindsight:
  • One Cutaway Gag features Peter in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory, having eaten a candy he wasn't supposed to, then denying it to Wonka. An episode in the next season, "Wasted Talent", would feature Peter being kicked out of Pawtucket Pat's brewery (Pat and the brewery being an Expy of Wonka and his chocolate factory) for drinking beer he was told was off-limits.
  • One scene has Peter embarrass Meg by showing up to her class and telling her to clean her leg hair out of the bath because "it's like a carpet in there!" A much later episode would have Brian and Stewie escape from the bathtub they were stuck in (long story) by using "a decades-worth" of Meg's hair as a makeshift rope, meaning that Meg never listened to Peter after all that time.
• Unintentional Period Piece: When Peter has a fake cardboard TV and associates people he sees walking down the street with TV channels, he at one point sees several black men playing basketball and says "Hey UPN". Other than the fact that UPN is now a defunct channel, the gag of Peter associating the black men with that channel (UPN had multiple African-American programs on their channel and had high viewership in that demo) will go over modern viewers' heads.
