• Adorkable: Dr. Mortum's enthusiasm about capes is rather charming.
• Nightmare Fuel: There's a reason that the MC has nightmares of the Heartbreak Incident.
  • First, there's the on-scene officer who attempts to blow his brains out, followed by having to step over corpses on the way into the building, all of whom jumped out windows after having first opened them. Once inside and on the way up, it gets ramped up as Anathema uses their own acid to melt their face down to the bone, before Sidestep goes into the room to confront the source... only to take a leap of their own out the window, possibly after eliminating the threat and almost eating their gun.
• Tearjerker:
  • During your chance reunion with Ortega in the first game, once they ask about why you hadn't come back after waking up, you can inform them that you felt ashamed of being relieved at not having to be a hero anymore. Getting a hug from them at the end of it can also cause you to get teary-eyed at the affection they still hold for you.
  You shouldn't be so affected by this; if they knew the truth, they would back away in disgust. Ortega has no idea that they are hugging a lie, but right now that's okay. Because you needed this.
  • In the second game, you can end up explaining to Ortega that their epilepsy-induced telepathic immunity "sounds" very similar to Farm personnel using telepathic blocker drugs. Your best friend/potential love interest sometimes sets off your PTSD simply by existing, and there's literally nothing to be done about it.
