YMMV / FAKE TYPE.

  • Awesome Music: "FAKE STYLE"'s frenetic, upbeat swing tone and catchy chorus is a great intro to Kyo's unique rapping style and Iwasaki's track-making.
  • Common Knowledge:
    • Dyes Iwasaki and Topham Hatkyo are actually not the names of the Battle Couple featured in most of their videos: those names refer to the music artists themselves, while the characters are called Baron Ham and Ms. Iwasake/Iwasake-chan. The names went unknown for a small while outside of Japan, due to the names only being released in the PPP art book and internationally through a LINE sticker pack; however, LINE is not used as often in the west. It doesn't help that the characters were introduced in the music videos headlined with the artists' names, either.
    • Technically, the Princess trilogy of songs are not FAKE TYPE. songs per-se: they were created in the midst of the group's hiatus (sans "Kruel Kreator") and were released as part of Topham Hatkyo's own label and are otherwise counted and released as his songs only. However, since Iwasaki produced for those songs, most fans stick it under FAKE TYPE.'s umbrella regardless.
  • Friendly Fandoms:
    • With the hololive fan community due to the duo making a handful of songs for some of the girls, mostly notably Inugami Korone's "Doggy god street" and Mori Calliope's "NEZUMI Scheme".
    • FAKE TYPE. fans also tend to be friendly with fandoms for utaite, both for their contributions to singers like Ado and Chougakusei and for the fact Kyo himself used to be a rap utaite on NicoNicoDouga under the alias AO. They and the former even collided in a big way, with Topham Hatkyo's Princess trilogy inspiring the creation of One Piece Film: Red's central character Uta, played by Ado herself. Naturally, FAKE TYPE. was asked to produce a song for the character, which became "Utakata Lullaby".
