- So Okay, It's Average: General consensus from critics is that it was a decent game but nothing remarkable. Though when compared to other "Kinect Only" titles it's often noted to be above average in that respect. Not that it's competitions all that stunning.
- They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Having a spin-off be a Kinect-Only title was enough for most to declare their lack of interest.
- They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The game answers many long term questions such as Theresa's true motives, the Spire's "first wish" and the reason behind the destruction of the Old Kingdom. All of which adds an awful lot to the games lore. Some detractors felt such a story deserved to be in a true sequel to Fable III, not a Kinect spin-off most fans didn't play.
